Your Dog's Paws Work Hard.
Give Them What They Deserve.
Five powerful botanicals that heal cracked pads, restore deep moisture, and create a breathable shield against hot pavements, rough terrain, and harsh surfaces. Safe to lick. Results you can see.
Our Calendula Paw Balm is formulated with ingredients that actively heal damaged tissue, rebuild the skin barrier, and protect against the conditions that caused the damage in the first place.
What the Paw Balm Does
5 Ways This Balm Transforms Paw Health
Active Tissue Healing
Calendula and helichrysum are two of the most clinically studied botanical wound-healing agents. They accelerate cellular regeneration, reduce inflammation, and actively repair cracked, split, or raw paw pad tissue.
Breathable Protective Barrier
Beeswax seals in moisture and creates a durable shield against hot pavements, rough terrain, chemicals, and environmental irritants - without blocking the paw pad's natural breathability.
Deep Moisture Restoration
Shea butter penetrates the thick keratin layer of paw pads to deliver lasting moisture from within, softening hard, rough, or hyperkeratotic pads that repel surface-only moisturisers.
Skin Barrier Repair
Jojoba oil's molecular structure closely mirrors the skin's own natural sebum, allowing it to reinforce the lipid barrier of the paw pad and reduce the transepidermal water loss that causes chronic dryness and cracking.
Anti-Inflammatory Comfort
Helichrysum and calendula both contain flavonoids and triterpenoids that reduce localised inflammation in damaged paw tissue, providing relief from swelling, redness, and soreness alongside active healing.
The Ingredients and Why They Work
Five Botanicals. Each One Earns Its Place.
-
Calendula (Calendula officinalis) - Healing and Anti-InflammatoryCalendula is one of the most extensively researched medicinal plants for wound healing. Its active compounds - flavonoids, saponins, and polysaccharides - stimulate collagen production, accelerate epithelial regeneration, and reduce inflammatory cytokine activity. On paw pads, this translates to faster closure of cracks and splits, reduced redness and swelling, and restored pad surface integrity. Calendula also has gentle antimicrobial properties that prevent opportunistic infection in damaged tissue.
-
Helichrysum (Helichrysum italicum) - Regeneration and Pain ReliefOften called the "immortelle" or everlasting flower, helichrysum is one of the most potent botanical regenerative agents known. Its key compounds - italidiones and neryl acetate - stimulate new tissue growth, reduce bruising and inflammation at the cellular level, and support the regeneration of damaged skin layers. For deep cracks, split pads, and callused elbow tissue, helichrysum works at a depth that most topical ingredients cannot reach.
-
Beeswax - Barrier and ProtectionMedical-grade beeswax forms a semi-occlusive barrier that seals moisture into the paw pad while still allowing the skin to breathe. This is critical for healing tissue - complete occlusion prevents normal skin respiration, while no barrier at all allows rapid moisture evaporation that keeps cracks open. Beeswax also has natural antimicrobial properties and is the structural foundation that gives the balm its ideal consistency - soft enough to apply easily, firm enough to stay in place.
-
Shea Butter - Deep Moisture and SofteningShea butter is rich in oleic and stearic fatty acids that penetrate the thick stratum corneum of dog paw pads - the outermost layer that becomes hard and cracked under stress. Unlike water-based moisturisers that evaporate quickly, shea butter's lipid-rich profile creates lasting hydration by mimicking the pad's own natural oils. It also contains cinnamic acid, a natural UV filter, providing secondary protection against sun damage on hairless pad tissue.
-
Jojoba Oil - Barrier Reinforcement and AbsorptionTechnically a liquid wax rather than an oil, jojoba has a molecular structure closer to skin sebum than any other plant ingredient. This makes it uniquely effective at reinforcing the lipid barrier of the paw pad and improving the skin's ability to retain moisture between applications. It also acts as a carrier that helps the other active botanicals penetrate deeper into paw tissue, amplifying the overall effectiveness of every ingredient in the formula
"Her paw pad had completely split and we tried everything - imported balms, different oils, every single paw balm available in India. Yesterday I was applying your paw balm for the second time and I could not find the split pad. Her paws had completely healed. Something none of the numerous and horrendously expensive paw balms managed to do."Aanchal M. - Verified customer review

This Balm is Ideal For...
How to Use
Simple to Apply. Fast to Absorb.
-
1Clean and dry the pawsWipe paws clean and pat dry before applying. Removing dirt and debris ensures better absorption and allows the botanicals to contact the skin directly.
-
2Warm a small amount between your fingersScoop a pea-sized amount and press between your fingertips for a few seconds to soften. The balm becomes easier to work into pad tissue when slightly warmed.
-
3Massage into the pads and between toesApply with gentle pressure, working the balm into cracks and across the full pad surface. Do not forget the skin between the toes where cracking also commonly occurs.
-
4Allow to absorbThe balm absorbs quickly. No need to wipe off or cover with socks. If your dog licks - no concern, every ingredient is safe for ingestion.
For active healing: apply twice daily, morning and before bed. For maintenance and prevention: every 2 to 3 days or after walks on harsh surfaces. Works equally well as an elbow balm for dogs with callused elbows.
Questions and Answers
Frequently Asked Questions
Is this paw balm safe if my dog licks it?
Yes. Every ingredient is food-grade safe and non-toxic. Beeswax, shea butter, calendula, jojoba oil, and helichrysum are all safe for ingestion in the small amounts a dog would consume through licking. You do not need to stop your dog or use socks after application.
How quickly will I see results on cracked paw pads?
Many pet parents notice visible softening and improvement within 3 to 7 days of regular use. For deeply cracked or split pads, healing typically progresses over 1 to 2 weeks of twice-daily application. One of our customers reported a completely split paw pad healing after just two applications.
Can I use this on bleeding or deeply split pads?
Yes. The formula is specifically suited for damaged paw tissue. Calendula and helichrysum both have clinically documented wound-healing and tissue-regenerative properties that actively support recovery of split, raw, or severely cracked pads. For injuries involving deep tissue or infection, consult your vet as well.
Can I use this on elbows and other rough patches too?
Absolutely. The balm works on any dry, hardened, or irritated skin. It is particularly effective on elbow calluses, where regular application softens thickened tissue and prevents the cracking that can lead to hygroma formation in larger breeds.

Any small nicks on paw pads it's our go to balm we also use it as elbow butter to soften the calluses on Hicks too
I love it because it glides so easily, the smell is so attractive and I know that it contains nothing but goodness for my boy. It absorbs into his paws easily and he loves it. He sometimes loves it so much that he wants to lick it, and when he does that I don’t worry - because I know nothing untoward will happen to him. Thank you Drishti! ❤️
I have been using the paw balm on my dog for last 15 days. It has healed cracks and made paws soft and smells good as well
So glad you loved it, Thank you so much for taking the time to leave a testimonial.
So one of my dogs has really bad paw pads. One of her paw pads actually split and we have tried everything. We’ve imported special paw balms from abroad, used different oils and used every single paw balm available here.Yesterday I was applying your paw balm ( for the second time) and trying to find that paw pad as I put extra there and cover it. And couldn’t find it. Her paw pads have completely healed even though I used your paw balm ONCE. Something none of the numerous and horrendously expensive paw balms haven’t managed to do.
