The Shampoo Long Coats
Have Always Deserved.

Banana, honey, and vanilla bean - three food-grade ingredients that nourish from the inside of every strand. Silky. Tangle-free. Beautifully manageable. From the very first wash.

🍌 Banana 🍯 Honey 🌼 Vanilla Bean ✓ Sulfate and Paraben Free 🇮🇳 Handmade in India

Does your long-fur dog come out of every bath still feeling rough and frizzy? Does combing turn into a battle with tangles and static? Does their coat look dull and feel coarse no matter what shampoo you try?

Most shampoos clean the coat but do nothing to nourish it. This formula uses three ingredients - banana, honey, and vanilla bean - that actively repair the hair shaft, seal in moisture, and smooth the cuticle layer, so your dog steps out of bath time genuinely softer, shinier, and easier to manage.

What This Shampoo Does

5 Ways Banana and Honey Transform Your Dog's Coat

💧

Deep Moisture Locking

Honey is a natural humectant - it attracts water molecules from the environment and binds them to the hair shaft, preventing the moisture loss that causes dryness, brittleness, and frizz in long coats. The result is hydration that lasts well beyond the bath.

Cuticle Smoothing and Shine

Banana's silica content and natural sugars fill in microscopic gaps and lifted scales along the hair cuticle - the rough surface that causes dullness, tangling, and static. Smoothed cuticles reflect light uniformly, producing the gloss that distinguishes a well-nourished coat.

🪢

Detangling and Static Reduction

Banana's conditioning oils coat each strand with a thin film that reduces friction between hairs. This is the direct cause of tangling in long-fur breeds - when individual hairs catch and grip each other. Regular use makes post-bath combing significantly easier and less stressful for dog and owner alike.

💪

Strand Strengthening

Banana is rich in potassium and silica, which penetrate the cortex of the hair fibre to restore elasticity and reduce breakage. For dogs whose long coats are weakened by brushing, environmental stress, or nutritional gaps, banana provides structural repair from within.

🌼

Calming Bath Experience

Vanilla bean oil's warm, sweet scent has a documented calming effect during handling, making bath time a significantly more relaxed experience for anxious dogs. It also leaves a subtle, pleasant natural fragrance without the synthetic compounds that irritate sensitive noses and skin.

The Ingredients and Why They Work

Every Ingredient Has a Reason to Be There

  • Banana (Musa sapientum) - Cuticle Repair, Silica, and Elasticity
Banana contains a uniquely beneficial profile of compounds for hair health. Silica - found in high concentrations in banana - is a trace mineral that strengthens the hair shaft structure and improves elasticity, reducing breakage under the mechanical stress of brushing a long coat. Natural sugars (fructose, glucose, sucrose) form a light conditioning film over the cuticle surface that smooths rough scales and reduces the inter-fibre friction responsible for tangling. Potassium supports the osmotic balance of hair cells, maintaining hydration within the cortex. The net effect on a long, prone-to-tangle coat is measurably smoother, stronger, and more manageable fur after each wash.
  • Honey (Mel) - Humectant Moisture Retention and Antimicrobial
Honey is one of nature's most effective humectants - a substance that draws water molecules from the surrounding environment and binds them to the substrate it coats. When applied to the coat and rinsed, honey leaves a hygroscopic film on each strand that continues absorbing atmospheric moisture long after the bath, preventing the transepidermal water loss and coat dryness that causes the rough, frizzy texture common in long-fur dogs in India's dry seasons. Honey also contains hydrogen peroxide, defensins, and other antimicrobial compounds at low concentrations that gently reduce bacterial and fungal colonisation of the skin surface without the harshness of synthetic antimicrobials. For dogs with sensitive skin, this natural antimicrobial action reduces the odour and irritation that can develop between baths.
  • Vanilla Bean Oil (Vanilla planifolia) - Calming Scent and Antioxidant
Vanilla bean oil contains vanillin, a phenolic aldehyde with documented antioxidant properties that help protect the skin and coat from free radical damage caused by environmental pollutants and UV exposure. Its warm, familiar scent triggers a calming response in many dogs - vanilla is associated with food and comfort, and its volatile compounds interact with olfactory receptors in ways that reduce stress arousal during handling. For dogs that find bath time stressful, the scent of vanilla bean oil can meaningfully reduce anxiety during grooming, making the experience more positive for both dog and owner over time.

How to Use

Bath Time That Actually Nourishes.

  1. 1
Wet the coat thoroughlyUse warm water and ensure the coat is fully saturated down to the skin. For long, dense coats, take time at this step - a thoroughly wet coat lathers better and allows the shampoo to reach the skin more effectively.
  2. 2
Apply and lather gentlyWork a generous amount through the coat in the direction of hair growth, from neck to tail. Use your fingertips to massage gently into the skin in circular motions. Do not scrub against the grain of long fur as this increases tangling.
  3. 3
Leave on for 2 to 3 minutesAllow the banana and honey actives contact time with the hair shaft. This is when the cuticle-smoothing and moisture-sealing effects are most active. For very dry or tangled coats, extend to 5 minutes.
  4. 4
Rinse thoroughly and detangle while dampRinse completely with warm water. While the coat is still damp, gently work through any tangles with a wide-tooth comb starting from the tips upward. The conditioned, honey-coated strands will separate far more easily than when dry.

Frequency: Every 2 to 3 weeks for long-coat breeds. Safe for more frequent use when needed - the sulfate-free formula does not strip the coat's natural oils. For especially tangle-prone dogs, follow with a natural coat conditioner or a few drops of jojoba oil worked through the coat before drying.

Questions and Answers

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this suitable for all breeds or specifically for long-fur dogs?

The formula works beautifully on all coat types but is specifically developed with long-fur breeds in mind - Golden Retrievers, Cocker Spaniels, Shih Tzus, Lhasa Apsos, and similar breeds whose coats are prone to tangling, static, and dryness. Short-coat breeds benefit from the moisturising and skin-nourishing properties equally, though the detangling benefit is most visible on longer coats.

How does banana actually benefit a dog's coat?

Banana contains silica, potassium, and natural sugars that penetrate the hair shaft to smooth the cuticle, reduce breakage, and restore elasticity to dry or brittle fur. Its natural oils also coat each strand with a conditioning film that reduces friction between hairs - which is the primary cause of tangling in long-coat breeds. The effect is noticeably softer, smoother fur that holds its condition longer between baths.

How often can I use this shampoo?

Because the formula is sulfate-free and does not strip the coat's natural oils, it is safe for frequent use. Most long-fur dogs benefit from bathing every 2 to 3 weeks. Dogs with very active outdoor lifestyles or skin conditions may be bathed more often without the dryness and coat damage caused by sulfate-based shampoos.

Is this safe for dogs with sensitive skin?

Yes. The formula is free from sulfates, parabens, synthetic fragrances, and artificial preservatives - the ingredients that most commonly trigger skin reactions. Honey adds natural antimicrobial and soothing properties specifically beneficial for sensitive skin, making this a good choice for dogs with known skin sensitivities.
